Site of the Getulio Vargas Foundation in Rio de Janeiro. The Foundation also has a useful guide to Internet resources for Social Scientists, Historians, and Archivists.

An important institution, based in Cuzco, Peru, for historical and anthropological studies.

Microstate Resources
A site run by Mitchel "Mitch" Arthur Leventhal to provide in formation about very small states and territories. Of particular use to those who study the Caribbean Region.

Fourth World Documentation Project
A project of the Center for World Indigenous Studies, whose Executive Director is John Burrows . Connections are provided to nearly 40 other relevant sites.

Tiempo y Escritura
Mexico's first electronic journal of historiography. Published by the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana.

Morelia
The journal of the history of the social sciences, published by the Universidad de Michoacán.

Studies in the World History of Slavery, Abolition and Emancipation
An electronic journal housed on a web site at Michigan State University. An occasional publication on a subject of great importance for Latin American history.

University of Coimbra, Portugal
In its early stages, the site is developing an annual bibliography of the history of Portugal, information on historical archives, and material on the Portuguese transition to democracy after the 1974 revolution. Also featured are interesting things relating to the Universidade de Coimbra itself, one of Europe's oldest universities.

Spain-U.S. Cooperation
This is the web site of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese of the College of Liberal Arts of the University of Minnesota. The department is the U.S. center for the Program of Cultural Cooperation between Spain's Ministry of Culture and United States' Universities.

Falange Española de las J.O.N.S.
Rather than a site of historical resources, this one is that of the surviving organization itself.

Conlon Nancarrow
Conlon Nancarrow, who died in 1997, was an innovative American modernist composer who went to fight in Spain as a member of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade. He was one of the recipients of the so-called "genius award" of the MacArthur Foundation. Here you can get some excerpts of his work.
