Brightest and Best

Princess Young

Hometown: Mountain Home, Idaho

High School: Mountain Home High School (Valedictorian)

Class Year: Senior

Major: Business Management
Human Resources emphasis

Interests/Hobbies: Music, both writing and singing; Journalism: Editor-in-Chief of the ISU Bengal Newspaper 2010-11 (100th anniversary of the newspaper this year); Volunteer work; Golf; Travel (I've visited nine countries and 27 states to date)

Career goal: To pursue my MBA. I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and I want to look to start my own business and possibly combine the business background with my interest in music. I would also like to pursue motivational speaking and help people build up their self-esteem and find the inner strength to succeed in their own lives.

Why ISU? I was looking for a university that was close to my family but also offered exceptional academic programs. Idaho State had everything I was looking for, including a number of scholarship opportunities and an exceptional Honors Program. They far surpassed other Idaho universities that I was considering in terms of overall programs and university environment.

ISU Experience: I have greatly enjoyed my time here at ISU. The coursework has challenged me, and the professors always help me strive to gain more knowledge. I am excited to graduate and pursue my passions of business and music. I am grateful that ISU - with its wonderful students, staff, faculty, and administration - has helped me succeed in ways that I never knew I could. I have definitely enjoyed my ISU 'college experience' and have learned so much about myself in the process thus far.

Nationally the amount of student debt following graduation continues to increase. For information on how you can help educate the next generation of great Idaho State University scholars contact the ISU Foundation or call (208) 282-3470.
