Program: Massage Therapy
The Massage Therapy Program allows me to interact with so many diverse peoples; both in class and in our running clinic. The Clinic is a place where we are able to work on the public with the techniques and skills we have learned in class. If I were to choose something I like best about the Massage Therapy Program it would be our Clinic and the hands on work. It is always amazing when we work on people from the community, and see the results of that hard work helping people heal and relax. The reason I got into this program was so I could help heal, reduce pain, and relieve stress from people's body, mind, and spirit.

Program: Energy Systems: Mechanical Engineering
I was very excited to be accepting into the energy systems mechanical engineering program. My favorite things about the program would have to be the hands on exercises that takes are theory time and applies it where I can make sense of it, how team oriented the program is, and how the teachers are willing to guide you and help you with questions in the class.
The program, so far, has made it easier for me to work on electrical devices at home. I am also able to carry on an intelligent conversation with someone about energy sources and what I think about them. Before the program, I never had my hands into electrical circuits but now I am able to draw circuits figure out its resistance, amperage, voltage, and power.
I chose the college of technology because I wanted the more hands on experience rather than the desk type work. I chose the mechanical engineering program because I wanted to stay close to what I love. I love to work on cars and anything mechanical. So it only seemed right for me to take this program and I am extremely happy with my decision to do so.

Program: ESTEC Mechanical Engineering Technology
My favorite things about this program all revolve around the quality of education that I feel I am receiving. I feel like the curriculum has been designed with the future of the student in mind, and all coursework is relevant and applicable to potential real life situations. The instructors in the ESTEC program are all very experienced in the work environment that we, the students, will be entering upon graduation. Because of this, they do a very good job of focusing lectures and labs on teaching us skills we will be using everyday in our careers. Perhaps my favorite thing about my program is that I truly feel like my instructors want me to succeed and be the best engineer I can be. Never before in my academic career have I felt such overwhelming support and assistance from my instructors. Whether it be their patience in teaching difficult material or their willingness to tutor one on one, they go above and beyond what I expected. I originally chose this program because it was focused on something I was interested in and I had heard great things about it from previous students.

Program: Medical Assisting
I believe the main reason I chose to go through the College of Technology as opposed to attending a traditional academic program was because they offer a more hands-on learning environment. I've always been a practical learner and highly interested in pursuing a career in the medical field, therefore the clinical classroom setting offered through the Medical Assisting Program was a perfect fit. The Medical Assisting curriculum offers me not only the opportunity to learn various clinical aspects of the medical field, but also to gain training from the administrative side. I believe that after successfully completing this program, I will be well equipped to work in a variety of medical offices and be a great asset to the team. I am forever thankful for the instructors I've met along the way who have not only guided me but also encouraged me to work hard. This program has been an excellent stepping stone in furthering my education.

Program: Computer Aided Design Drafting
After my accident I wasn't able to return to work as a truck driver so I looked for a job that I could physically do. CADD piqued my interest because it involved drawing blueprints for all of the parts and machines that I had worked with all of my life. Since I lived in Pocatello I wouldn't have to travel out of town or use an online instructor which made this choice even more appealing.
The CADD program utilizes instructors who are recruited from the industry so you get the benefit of their real world experience. This has helped me understand what employers want and expect from a drafter much better than I would from a purely academic course.
