Special Accomplishments/Interests:
My professional interests center around making science engaging and relevant for my middle school students. My goal is to encourage my students to pursue science classes in high school as they mature and explore their interests. I hope that some of my students will begin to realize that science and technology careers are within their reach. At the very least, I hope that all of my students will realize that the science process provides a powerful way to ask and answer questions about their world. Science class is a great place to practice curiosity and logical thinking!

How will you integrate an aspect of GK-12 and your partnership with a graudate fellow into your teaching, educational philosophy, etc.?
I hope to learn challenging and fun ways to integrate mathematical concepts and skills into the science curriculum that I teach.
