Special Accomplishments/Interests:
I just started an Ecology Club at Century High School, and we call ourselves the Treehuggers.

How will you continue to integrate an aspect of GK-12 and your partnership with graduate students into your teaching, philosophy, etc.?
I will continue to use the inquiry-based philosophy from the GK12 Program. I will also use the lessons/activities that my fellow and I worked to create and those we modified from previous years. Neither my fellow or I have our main education in Physics. So, I will use the information and research we did together as we worked to understand the content matter well enough to teach it. It was really nice to have someone to sound ideas off. I will use the information gained from working with my fellow in many years to come.

How has the GK-12 experience changed you, and how has your participation changed the GK-12 project?
The GK-12 experience has enhanced my teaching and my lessons. It has also enhanced my content knowledge and real life scientific application in my classroom. My participation in the GK-12 project has been positive, and I truly believe this year has been my best teaching year yet! I think I have impacted the GK-12 program by proving that the fellow/teacher relationship can still be positive even if the subject areas are not compatible. My fellow and I were assigned Physics/Chemistry at the last minute, and we made the most of it! I think we showed the GK12 program that partnerships can still be successful even if the teaching area has changed.
