Hello! I am looking forward to my transition back to Idaho and joining the rest of the faculty in the Department of Counseling at ISU. I will be bringing my interests in experiential learning and social justice to the table and hope to build collaborations that will strengthen our profession and serve the diverse needs within the university and community.
I have spent the last two years as a full-time faculty member at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. As an assistant professor, I have consistently engaged in individual and group supervision of masterís and doctoral students, taught CACREP-core and CMHC specialization courses, and supervised practicum and internship experiences. I have enjoyed presenting on my research interests here in the United States and in Malaysia. My presentations have varied from an introduction to supervision to research on live supervision and social justice within supervision.
In addition to my work as a counselor educator, I have been a licensed professional counselor for seven years and particularly enjoy working with college students, couples, and individuals presenting with mood disorders. I enjoy spending my free time with my family in the great outdoors. I have found the forests and rivers in Idaho to be my primary source for self-care!
