The Occupational Therapy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 4720 Montgomery Lane, Suite 200, Bethesda, MD 20814-3449. AOTA's phone number is 301-652-AOTA or at http://www.acoteonline.org. Graduates will be able to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapist administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

Application for MOT

Bachelor to Master

Undergraduates may begin OT study through ISU's Bachelor of Science in Health Science program and through the Pre OT - Accelerated Concentration can shave one year off the usual course of study. This option involves:

  • Entry into the OT curriculum in the senior year of undergraduate study
  • Awarding of a Bachelor of Science in Health Science degree after the first year
  • Awarding of the Master of Occupational Therapy degree after two more years
