The Early College Program
Idaho State University's Early College Program is designed for students who want to get a jump start on their college education while still attending high school. Student participants must be 16 years old and have maintained a 3.0 GPA. For students who do not meet this criteria, special permission from a school official is required. Course credit can be verified with an official ISU transcript and transferred to other institutions.
Students wishing to take dual credit courses through ISU must be registered in both the high school and college course. Students will be admitted to the Early College Program after completing a one-time application and permission form. Students are required to register themselves at ISU through BengalWeb for each class in which they wish to receive college credit.
The Early College Program also provides opportunities for students interested in health care professions. The University Health High School (UHHS) through the Early College Program provides online dual credit introductory health care courses for high school students. Please visit the UHHS section of our website for additional information.
