Entering its 31st year, the I Love ISU campaign will feature teams of community members and Idaho State University faculty and staff making calls to raise ISU scholarship funds Sept. 16-19.

Idaho State University's national champion rodeo team will host the ISU Bengal Round-Up Rodeo this weekend. Beginning Thursday, Sept. 12, and continuing Friday and Saturday, the rodeo team will begin defending their title at the Bannock County Fairgrounds.
Thursday and Friday performances will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday's event will be at 5:30 p.m. Slack will be at 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Tickets will cost $5 for adults, and are free for ISU students, staff and faculty. Children’s admission is free.

The Idaho Museum of Natural History (IMNH) at Idaho State University will offer classes, programs, and special events throughout the fall to spark interest in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. These programs are taught by Idaho certificated and pre-service teachers and scientists at the Idaho Museum of Natural History.
The fall line-up includes the following events:
• IMNH and Ross Park Physics at the Park: Monday, Sept. 9 from 3 to 4 p.m. Participants will learn about gravity, energy, force and acceleration on this trip to Ross Park. Grades 3 -5, $10. (more…)

Idaho State University's Department of Art Master of Fine Arts degree graduate students will teach an eight-week Saturday art class for children from Sept. 14 to Nov. 9. The class will be held in the ISU Fine Arts Building, Room 303.
Students will learn a variety of art techniques across a number of mediums, including ceramics, painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpture. The experience will focus on teaching children to express their individual creativity in an art classroom setting. (more…)
Idaho State University Homecoming Parade set Oct. 5 has new 9:30 a.m. starting time; entries due Sept. 20
The Idaho State University Homecoming 2013 Parade on Saturday, Oct. 5, has a new starting time of 9:30 a.m.
The parade will start at the corner of South First Avenue and Center Street, just east of the Center Street Underpass, in Pocatello.
From the starting point, the parade will proceed up Center Street to South 15th Avenue, where entries will turn right and continue to the parade’s finish at the Holt Arena parking lot.
Parade entries are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20. After this date a $25 late fee applies. No entries will be accepted after Noon on Friday, Sept. 27. (more…)
Importance of German ENIGMA WWII encryption device topic of two public presentations Sept. 5 at Idaho State University
Recently retired National Security Agency historian Timothy Mucklow will provide a historical viewpoint on the importance of the German ENIGMA machine, an encryption device used during World War II, in two presentations titled "Securing War Time Communications" at Idaho State University on Sept. 5.
An afternoon presentation is scheduled at 1 p.m. in Room 104 of the Idaho State University Business Administration Building and an evening presentation will be held in the Idaho Museum of Natural History at 7 p.m. The presentations are sponsored by the ISU Informatics Research Institute (IRI) and IMNH.
