Idaho State University Pocatello Pump Climbing Competition/Festival celebrating 32nd year Sept. 14-15
In its 32nd year, the Idaho State University Pocatello Pump set Sept. 14 and 15 is the oldest rock climbing competition in the United States.
It takes place on the basalt cliffs of Pocatello's Ross Park, and runs from 7 a.m. to early afternoon Saturday, Sept. 14. (more…)
Idaho State University Informatics Research Institute to host presentation on WWII Enigma Machine Sept. 5
The Informatics Research Institute (IRI) will host a presentation with Tim Mucklow titled, "Securing War Time Communications – U.S. Successes Versus German Failures" that will focus on the encryption device, Enigma, on Sept. 5 at 1 p.m. in Room 104 of the Business Administration building at Idaho State University. Welcome Back Orange and Black set 4-7 p.m. Aug. 26 for Idaho State University students in Old Town Poky
The Pocatello community is welcoming students, faculty and staff back to campus at the annual Welcome Back Orange and Black event Monday, Aug. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. in Old Town Pocatello.
The community will welcome ISU students back to town with great food, entertainment, fun-filled games, giveaways, and terrific prize drawings in Old Town Pocatello. Free transportation between campus and the event will be available. For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Idaho State University Department of Dental Hygiene will celebrate its 50th anniversary Oct. 4-5 with a variety of events including a reunion, presentation, and reception in conjunction with ISU's Homecoming.
The 2013 Thomas Geriatric Symposium and Idaho Smiles/Oral Health Conference will be held Friday, Oct. 11.

The 32nd annual Idaho State University Cooperative Wilderness Handicapped Outdoor Group (CW HOG) Pig Out, a dinner and fundraiser for CW HOG, will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, in Lower Ross Park Pavilion in Pocatello.
The dinner includes grilled pork chops, Idaho baked potatoes, corn-on-the-cob, cold beverages, and the HOGs' specialty, a vegetarian Dutch-oven dish. Dinner is from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Musical entertainment, featuring D&G Railroad will be from 5 to 10:30 p.m. The Pig Out is a family-oriented activity. Children’s games, arts and crafts, and face painting will be provided from 3 to 5 p.m. by the ISU Council for Exceptional Children. (more…)
A luncheon to complete the Idaho State University scholarship endowment for the late state Sen. Clint Stennett is Wednesday, Sept. 4, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Ketchum.
Stennett, who died of brain cancer in 2010, represented Blaine County in the Idaho Legislature for approximately 20 years. He was the longest-serving minority leader in the Idaho Senate. After his death, Stennett's wife, Michelle, was elected to his seat and now represents District 26. (more…)
