• ISU Music Department Student Chamber Music Night: This free concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Goranson Hall located in the lower level of the ISU Fine Arts Building. For more information, call the ISU Department of Music at 282-3636.

ISU Marketing Association to present ‘Pokapalooza Warped’ battle of the bands on Nov. 21

The Idaho State University Marketing Association is working full force to put the final touches on Pokapalooza Warped, a battle of the bands featuring local music groups.  The event is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21, in the Pond Student Union Ballroom.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with music starting at 7 p.m.  (more…)

Idaho State University’s “A Season of Note” will present The King’s Singers at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, in the Joseph C. and Cheryl H. Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center.

Symphonic Band to perform concert Oct. 16 in Stephens Center

The Idaho State University Symphonic Band will perform its first concert of the semester this coming Friday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m. in Joseph C. and Cheryl H. Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center.  The Symphonic Band is directed by Patrick Brooks, ISU Director of Bands.

The band will perform a wide-ranging program of band standards, new compositions and a works for soloist. (more…)

ISU Indian Night set Oct. 17 in Pond Student Union Ballroom

The Idaho State University Association of Indian Students will host Indian Night on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the ISU Pond Student Union Ballroom.

The theme of this year’s event is “Showcasing the Festivals of India,” and will feature authentic Indian food, and a variety of events highlighting Indian culture. (more…)

Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony to be performed in Jensen Hall on Nov. 6

Ludwig van Beethoven’s monumental Ninth Symphony, with its transformative “Ode to Joy” choral ending, will be performed by the Idaho Falls Symphony and the 160 voices of the Camerata Singers and the Idaho State University Concert Choir on Friday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Joseph C. and Cheryl H. Jensen Grand Concert Hall of the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center in Pocatello. (more…)
