Schedule announced for Celebrate Idaho State on March 19

The third annual Celebrate Idaho State, a CommUniversity event, will feature more than 120 groups providing a variety of free food, entertainment, art, culture, information, and scientific displays and demonstrations from 4 to 7 p.m. March 19 in and near the ISU Pond Student Union.

This year's event incorporates the Idaho Science and Engineering Festival and the Idaho State University College of Technology's Tech Expo.

Idaho Science and Engineering Festival is new feature of 2013 Celebrate Idaho State event on March 19 at Idaho State University

Science and science education will be on display this week at the Idaho Science and Engineering Festival, which is part of the Celebrate Idaho State event in the Pond Student Union March 19 from 4 to 7 p.m.

The Science and Engineering Festival will feature interactive exhibits and games from science departments. Some examples of activities include building a catapult, designing an device to catch an egg falling from various distances, building a paper rocket, and much more. (more…)

Idaho State University Anderson Center to host ‘31 Songs’ project workshop by The Billies on March 6

The Idaho State University Janet C. Anderson Gender Resource Center will welcome the innovative musicians The Billies on ISU campus to present the "31 Songs Project" workshop at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, at the Rendezvous Complex Suites.

The project, which is free and open to the public, is an effort by The Billies to create 31 different unique pieces of music on 31 different campuses in 31 days. (more…)

Idaho State University Wind Ensemble Concert Feb. 22 includes premiere performance of composition by ISU’s Randy Earles

The Idaho State University Wind Ensemble will perform its first concert of the semester Friday, Feb. 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the Stephens Performing Arts Center.
