Phi Kappi Phi honors outstanding students, faculty

The Phi Kappa Phi chapter at Idaho State University initiated academically outstanding students into its society this spring.

Membership in Phi Kappa Phi is by invitation and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the 10 percent of senior and 7.5 percent of juniors, having at least 72 semester hours, are eligible of membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction. ISU professor selected for NEH Summer Institute in Mexico

ISU Psychology Clinic provides services during summer

 The Idaho State University Psychology Clinic will provide treatment throughout the summer to adults seeking therapy for panic, anxiety, depression and other emotional disorders as well as those who would like to quit or reduce using alcohol and other drugs. (more…)

CW HOG’s Larsen Golf Tournament is July 14

The fifth annual CW HOG/Claude Larsen Memorial Golf Tournament will be Saturday, July 14 at Highland Golf Course. Named to honor a longtime HOG volunteer who passed away in 2003, the tourney is a four-person scramble. Registration is at 8 a.m. and tee off time is 9. (more…)

ISU names new vice president for finance and administration

Idaho State University has named James A. Fletcher, who has had a successful and varied career in academics and the private sector, as its new vice president for finance and administration.

Fletcher has served as vice chancellor of administration for the Texas A&M University System for the last six years. (more…)

Prep students get hands-on chemistry research opportunity
