ISU program works to deflate stigma attached to mental-health disorders
Ann Kirkwood, senior research associate at Idaho State University’s Institute of Rural Health in Boise, says she is concerned about the stigma that is sometimes placed on children with mental-health disorders. Because of this stigma, says Kirkwood, children in Idaho and throughout the country often fall through the cracks when it comes to the diagnosis and treatment of mental-health issues. (more…)
