ISU awards top teaching honors to five faculty

Five Idaho State University faculty have been named 2008 Master Teachers. One will receive the 2008 Distinguished Teacher Award at Commencement May 10.

Receiving 2008 Master Teacher Awards are Andrew Holland, Ph.D., assistant professor of chemistry; Bethany Schultz Hurst, instructor, English and philosophy; Lloyd Peterson, Ph.D. associate professor, educational learning and development; Linda Rankin, Ph.D., professor, health and nutrition sciences; and Jack Rose, Ph.D., assistant chair of the graduate program and professor of biology. ISU faculty earn 2008 Outstanding Researcher awards

Five Idaho State University faculty have been named 2008 Outstanding Researchers. One will receive the 2008 Distinguished Researcher Award at Commencement May 10.

The 2008 Outstanding Researchers are Jennifer Eastman Attebery, Ph.D., director of American studies, and professor, English and philosophy department; Nancy Glenn, Ph.D., research associate professor, geosciences; Jeffrey Rosentreter, Ph.D., professor, chemistry; Susan Swetnam, Ph.D, professor, English; and Laura Tivis, Ph.D., research professor, ISU Institute of Rural Health, ISU – Boise. Boise’s Seddon named ‘Outstanding Educator of the Year’

ISU-Boise Researcher Tivis receives nearly $320,000 grant for alcohol research

Idaho State University-Boise researcher Laura Tivis, Ph.D., has received a $319,686 grant from the National Institutes of Health to continue her research project studying how alcohol affects cognition in postmenopausal women. (more…)

Idaho Attorney General Wasden honored as ‘Statesman of the Year’
