College of Pharmacy spaghetti feed, raffle, auction fundraiser set Feb. 13

Earning a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Idaho State University College of Pharmacy takes years of discipline, dedication to the profession and for some, many hours of studying the curriculum outside of classroom.  However, pharmacy students from the College’s Professional Pharmacy Student Alliance (PPSA) take time from their busy schedules each year to assist an ill area youth make a dream come true with the annual student-sponsored Spaghetti Feed Raffle and Auction fundraiser.

In its 16th year, the 2009 Spaghetti Feed Raffle and Auction will be held on Friday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m. in the Pond Student Union Ballroom. Advance tickets are $5 per person or $15 for a family, regardless of size. Prices are double at the door. Tickets are available at (208) 282-4597 or sfra@pharmacy.isu.edu. (more…)

Idaho State College of Education releases fall 2008 dean’s list

Deborah L. Hedeen, Ph.D., dean of the College of Education at Idaho State University, has announced the dean’s list for fall 2008.

To qualify for the dean’s list, students must complete at least 12 semester credits and receive a grade point average of 3.66 or higher.

Students on this list include:

    American Falls: Shawna Fehringer, Maribel Mendez and Aneatra Walker. (more…)

Idaho State College of Business releases fall 2008 dean’s list

Kenneth Smith, Ph.D., dean of the College of Business at Idaho State University has announced the dean’s list for fall 2008.

To qualify for the dean’s list, students must complete at least 12 semester credits and receive a grade point average of 3.66 or higher.

Idaho Humanities Council honors ISU history professor Hatzenbuehler

Idaho State University history professor Ron Hatzenbuehler will be honored with the Idaho Humanities Council’s Award for “Outstanding Achievement in the Humanities” at a dessert reception and award presentation ceremony at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, in Idaho State University’s Stephens Performing Arts Center Marshall Rotunda in Pocatello. IMNH to sponsor raptor presentations, backyard birdcount

The Idaho Museum of Natural History will host Trish Nixon, raptor specialist with The Peregrine Fund’s World Center for Birds of Prey, who will give a public presentation on Feb. 10 with two live raptors, and the IMNH is partnering with the local Audubon Society to celebrate the 2009 Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) Feb. 13-16. Idaho Museum of Natural History opens exhibit on Darwin’s ‘green side’
