Drug-free workplace workshop set Dec. 2

 The Pocatello office of the Idaho Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Idaho State University and the City of Pocatello are sponsoring a two-hour workshop for businesses seeking to establish drug-free workplace programs on Wednesday, December 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in city council chambers at Pocatello city hall. An array of student clubs and a rich variety of student activities make Idaho State University-Idaho Falls much more than a commuter school for those who want to take advantage of what’s offered at University Place.            

On Veterans Day this year, for example, the Armed Forces Veterans Club at ISU-Idaho Falls helped organize a variety of events for the whole campus, including a flag-raising ceremony featuring the BYU-Idaho ROTC Color Guard, the landing of an Apache helicopter, a veterans panel discussion, a veterans presentation and free food for ISU students, staff, faculty, guests and their families in the Bennion Student Union. ISU GIS Center to celebrate GIS Day Nov. 18 at Rendezvous Complex

The Idaho State University GIS Center and campus community will celebrate World GIS Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Rendezvous Complex on the ISU Pocatello Campus.

There will be presentations, hands-on Geographic Information System (GIS) stations, food, a trivia contest and a host of raffle items.

An open house of GIS demonstrations and exhibits will run from 9:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Rendezvous Complex Suite B. (more…)

Idaho State University physics professor Shropshire elected to national board

ISU Marketing Association to present ‘Pokapalooza Warped’ battle of the bands on Nov. 21

ISU Outdoor Adventure Center to present workshop Nov. 19 on using yurts; yurt rentals begin Nov. 20

The Idaho State University Outdoor Adventure Center will hold an "Introduction to the Portneuf Yurt System" workshop covering all aspects of the yurt system at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, in the Pond Student Union Snake River Room.

Reservations for the yurts will start being taken beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20. (more…)
