Blackfoot CarFit event for older drivers set Oct. 5 by ISU OT program

The Idaho State University occupational therapy program will host its annual CarFit event at the Eastern Idaho Fair Grounds in Blackfoot from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 5.

The ISU occupational therapy program began hosting CarFit events in 2009, and is now in its fourth year of hosting events. (more…)

The Idaho State University occupational therapy program will host its annual CarFit event at the Holt Arena parking lot in Pocatello from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Yemen photography exhibit opens Sept. 11 at Idaho State University Transition Gallery

The Idaho State University Involvement Center will present the photographic exhibit "Of Yemen: the Culture and People" Sept. 11–Oct. 6 in the Transition Gallery located on the first floor of the Pond Student Union.

The exhibit's opening reception will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 11. The exhibit is a collaborative effort by Jacquelaine Wong and Juan Herrero.

Pocatello Pump climbing competition/festival celebrating 31st year at Pocatello’s Ross Park Sept. 15-16

In its 31st year, the Idaho State University Pocatello Pump set Sept. 15 and 16 is the oldest rock climbing competition in the United States.

It takes place on the basalt cliffs of Pocatello's Ross Park, and runs from 7 a.m. to early afternoon Saturday, Sept. 15.

The Pump takes most of the afternoon off so participants can take advantage of the CW HOG Pig Out dinner adjacent to the climbing area. Climbing resumes Sunday, Sept. 16, at 8 a.m. The awards ceremony is at 4 p.m. (more…)

Idaho State University Anderson Center, AAUW to offer $tart $mart workshops Oct. 25-27

$tart $mart and Behavioral Interviewing Workshops to help graduating women from Idaho State University reach salaries on par with their male counterparts will be held Oct. 25-27 in the ISU Pond Student Union Salmon River Suite.

The workshops are sponsored by the Anderson Gender Resource Center and the Pocatello Branch of the American Association of University Women. A grant has been received from Idaho AAUW to help support the program.  (more…)

Idaho State University, University of Montana Faculty to Perform Schubert Sept. 10 at Jensen Grand Concert Hall

Mezzo-soprano Kathleen Lane of the Idaho State University music faculty and tenor David Cody of the University of Montana will perform an evening of songs by Franz Schubert Monday, Sept. 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall, Stephens Performing Arts Center. 

Lane's pianist will be Kori Bond, head of the ISU Piano Program. Cody will be joined by Christopher Hahn of the UM piano faculty. (more…)

Practice date set for New Horizons music program for seniors thru ISU Continuing Ed
