Idaho State University’s Herbert Maschner elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science

Herbert Maschner, director of the Idaho Museum of Natural History and Idaho State University professor of anthropology, has been named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

Election as an AAAS Fellow is an honor bestowed upon AAAS members by their peers. The American Association for the Advancement of Science is the world’s largest general scientific society. (more…)

ISU School of Engineering Director Naidu travels widely for scholastic endeavors; visits Turkey, Russia, China, Greece

Idaho State University School of Nursing, theatre department team up to produce realistic trainings

Artfully applied makeup, Joy detergent used to look like mucus, and special vomit made from corn, instant tea, oatmeal and parmesan cheese are among the finishing touches applied and given to volunteers and manikins to help provide realistic training scenarios for nursing students at Idaho State University.

And don't forget the acting by volunteers, who take their roles seriously as patients suffering from various illnesses.

The ISU Department of Theatre is collaborating with the ISU Department of Nursing to help add realism for training sessions held in the ISU School of Nursing’s simulation laboratory. (more…)

Idaho State University College of Pharmacy achieves 100 percent pass rate on national board exam

Idaho State University College of Pharmacy graduates have achieved a 100-percent pass rate on their national board exam, according to College of Pharmacy Dean Paul Cady.

Community health screenings Dec. 6 at ISU-Meridian to offer free hepatitis C screenings, flu shots

A Dec. 6 community health screening at the Idaho State University-Meridian Health Science Center will offer free hepatitis C screenings and flu shots. The free screening for uninsured adults is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the ISU-Meridian Health Science Center, 1311 E. Central Drive, on the north side of Interstate 84 between Locust Grove and Meridian roads. (more…)
