ISU Academic Advising Center welcomes Forrest, Christiansen

The ISU Academic Advising Center welcomes Susanne Forrest and Dawn Christiansen to the professional advising staff in Pocatello.

Susanne Forrest brings a wealth of university knowledge and advising expertise gained from the past 11 years advising, recruiting, and overseeing international admissions. A native of Germany, Susanne has lived in Pocatello since 1989 and served with distinction in several relevant positions at ISU including English instructor, Telecounseling Coordinator, and Counselor. She holds three Master's degrees, Counseling, English, and German. She has served as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Languages and Literatures. Susanne will serve as a generalist advisor with an emphasis in Transfer Student advising.

Dawn Christiansen served in various positions within the Division of Enrollment Planning while completing her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. Her ISU resume includes experience in admissions, recruitment, continuing education, and advising. She has been an instructor of Communication 101 and interned as a Peer Advising class instructor. As an Employment Specialist for an outside agency, she developed expertise in facilitating clients’ acquisition of job search strategies and preparation for employment interviews, skills which will prove invaluable when assisting our undecided freshmen student population. Dawn will serve as a generalist advisor with an emphasis in Undecided Student advising.
