The Idaho State University College of Engineering will host an open house of its Nuclear Engineering Laboratory where ISU’s AGN-201 nuclear reactor from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29.
The event will be hosted by mechanical and nuclear engineering departments. The laboratory and reactor are located in the basement of the Lillibridge Engineering Building, which is Building No. 7 on an ISU campus map, and is located at 833 S. Eighth Ave./Cesar Chavez Drive, between the Physical Science and Administration Building.
The public is invited to attend.
Tours of the facility will be accompanied by presentations providing basic information about the reactor and nuclear engineering.
Parking is free after 4 p.m. at ISU and the closest large parking lots to the Engineering Building are the ones adjacent of Frazier Hall. Prior to 4 p.m. ISU parking passes are required for campus lots and street parking is limited adjacent to the University.
