In what could be the first of several reunion concerts, Idaho State University's KISU-FM is presenting the "Sons of Idaho" Saturday, Feb. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Beverly B. Bistline Thrust Theatre in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center in Pocatello.
KISU general manager Jerry Miller says it should be an unforgettable night.
"We've got three former ISU students going onstage that already have a great chemistry together, and they're going to draw the audience right in with them," Miller said.
The "Sons of Idaho" are made up of former students Louis Valentine Johnson, an acclaimed classical guitarist who makes his home in California; John Hansen, a well-known folk and blues guitarist who performs mainly in the Intermountain Region; and T. L. "Les" Purce, a former ISU student body president and mayor of Pocatello, and now president of Evergreen College in Olympia, Wash., who plays guitar and sings the blues.
The concert will be held in the 400-seat Bistline Theater, which Miller says will give every person there an up-close and personal experience with the group.
General admission tickets are $15, with student tickets available for $12. Tickets will be available at the Stephen's Box Office at 282-3595, or online at www.isu.edu/tickets/ and at Vicker's Western Stores in Pocatello and Idaho Falls.
