OSLO, Norway  – Idaho State University Fulbright scholar Michael Adams will be featured in the exhibit “Skibladnir: Then installation in the Viking Ship Museum” at the Museum of Cultural History at the University of Oslo in Olso, Norway.

The exhibit opened Feb. 1 and runs through March 25.

Adams has also collaborated with Professor Jan Bill of the Viking Ship Museum, who has extensive knowledge of Viking history, their ships, and a great appreciation of the Vikings’ aesthetic sensibility.

"Art is not mere decoration; it reaches down into the core of our being and puts us in touch with what is most meaningful in our lives," Adams said. "Skibladnir is not meant to be a replica of the Viking ships in the museum, although the shape was inspired by them. It is a meeting point, a place where the artist and the viewer come together to create meaningful experiences."
