ISU News Student March through the Arch: Begins at 5 p.m. at Reed Gym and finishes on the Hutchinson Quadrangle near the Swanson Arch. ISU President Arthur Vailas, other ISU officials, and the ISU Marching Band will be gathered to welcome new students a day before the fall semester begins on Aug. 27. ISU Fall Semester Begins

• Welcome Back Orange and Black Celebration: Idaho State University students will have a chance to win a car and other great prizes, plus enjoy free food, music and a variety of booths and entertainment during the third annual "Welcome Back Orange and Black" from 4 to 7 p.m. in Old Town Pocatello. The prize drawing will be held at 6 p.m. Buses will bring students downtown leaving from Eighth Avenue/Cesar Chavez Way at the bus stop in front of the ISU Student Health Center. Opening of Davis Gallery “"ANGENTIAL" exhibit by Naomi Adams: Opening reception is from 6 to 8 p.m. Exhibit runs through Sept. 7. The John B. Idaho State University Participates in College Colors Day: Idaho State University is one of dozens of universities nationwide participating in the designated NCAA/Collegiate Licensing Company's College Colors Day 2012. The celebration will be held on Aug. 31 and it involves participation by national, regional, and online retailers representing more than 10,000 locations—all with the goal of increasing sales of collegiate merchandise. Great ISU Ambush: The first Great Idaho State University Ambush, an approximately 5-kilometer mud and obstacle team race, will be held Sept. 8 beginning at Bartz Field on the ISU Pocatello campus.
