Idaho State Civic Symphony’s 2013-2014 season tickets now on sale

Season tickets for the Idaho State Civic Symphony are available for purchase at the Idaho State University Box Office. Ticket packages include five tickets for the price of four. Directing the 2013-2014 concert season will be the symphony’s new conductor, Grant Harville. The Sept. 27 opening concert will feature internationally acclaimed violinist Chee Yun in Bruch's "Violin Concerto in G Minor." Pocatello's own Mark Neiwirth will be the guest soloist in the symphony's Nov. 8 concert. The fall semester will end with a Christmas celebration titled "Joy to the World." The holiday performances will be held both Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13 and 14.

The Idaho State Civic Symphony's first spring concert will be on March 21. The performance of Mozart's "Clarinet Concerto in A Major" will feature The Symphony's Principal Clarinet and ISU Professor Shandra Helman. Guest conductor Scott Anderson, ISU music professor, will close the season directing the ISU Concert Choirs, Camerata Singers and the symphony in Verdi's "Requiem." Performances will be Friday and Saturday, April 25 and 26.

The five-concert season ticket package costs $130 for adults, $118 for ISU faculty and staff members and $70 for students through high school age. The season packages must be purchased before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27.

Individual concert tickets can also be purchased. They cost $32 for adults and $17 for students through high school. Concert tickets are free for ISU students with a valid Bengal ID card.

Tickets for the Halloween Spooktacular Family Concert and the annual POPS fundraiser concert and raffle are also available for purchase. POPS tickets are the same price as individual classical concert tickets. The Halloween Spooktacular Family Concert is $27 per family of up to six people and $12 for adults.
