Service & Fees

The Psychology Clinic now offers services for:

  • adolescent difficulties
  • child behavior problems
  • couples / family therapy
  • Emotional disorders of adults such as depression, and anxiety
  • help for individuals who wish to reduce their drinking and/or abstain from alcohol or other drugs
  • treatment for sexual difficulties
  • memory & other cognitive assessments
  • psychological testing

Payment Information

There is no charge for an initial consultation. The clinic charges according to a sliding fee scale. Patients sign a fee agreement at the onset of services, and are then billed monthly for their appointments. We will bill insurance upon request, but since we are a training facility with student clinicians, insurance comanies are not obligated to cover our services.

Facilities, Equipment and Technology

The Psychology Clinic structure includes six standard treatment /consultation rooms, two testing areas, a child playroom, and several group/ conference rooms, all equiped with standard observational facilties. The facility includes a computer lab and library for graduate student use, as well as video conferencing capabilities.

Computerized administration and scoring is available for frequently used psychological tests (e.g., WAIS/WMS, MMPI-2). Library searches using Psych INFO and medical databases can also be conducted on site.

Benefit to Students

The clinic exposes developing psychologists to a variety of different training experiences, providing both individual and group supervision in practicum training. The Psychology Department hosts national workshop speakers on specialized topics each year.

Professional Service Contributions

Advanced psychology students also function as community practicum students and externs in a number of local sites. The clinical faculty maintain relationships and consult with area agencies, hospitals and institutions.
