Use this field to find records using a "lastname, firstname" format. The search will match everything you enter from the beginning of the name. For example, entering 'Alb' will find 'Albert, John.'
Use this field to find records containing your search criteria anywhere in the name. For example, entering 'len' will find 'Smith, John Glenn.'
Use this field to search email addresses from the beginning. For example, entering 'doe' will find email addresses beginning with 'doe' such as 'doejkhan@isu.edu' or 'doejane@isu.edu'.
Use this field to match the criteria you enter anywhere in an email address. For example, entering 'doe' will match 'matcadoe@isu.edu' or 'doetanne@isu.edu.'
Use this field to search numbers by matching up to four digits of the extension, ignoring area code and prefix. For example, entering '234' will match '282-2341' but not '234-1414.'
Use this field to search telephone numbers matching your criteria anywhere in the telephone number. Dashes will be disregarded. Do not enter area code. For example, entering '223' will match '282-2341.'
Use this field to search department names matching your search criteria from the beginning of the name. For example, entering 'information' will match 'Information Technology Services' but not 'Campus Student Information.'
Use this field to search department names matching your search criteria anywhere in the name. For example, entering 'academic' will match both 'Academic Affairs' and 'Summer Programs and Academic Support.'

Search Tips

Searching for People

Searches can be conducted by name, telephone number, or email address. Select the category of search you wish to perform from the Search by: field.

Next, enter all or part of the person's name, telephone number, or email address in the Search criteria: field depending on the type of search you previously selected.

If you wish to limit your search to only ISU faculty and staff or to only ISU students, select the appropriate option from the Limit search to: field. Last, click the Find button to execute your search.

Searching for Departments

To search for a department, select the Department option from the Search by: field. Departmental searches are only performed on the department's name. Enter all or part of a department name in the Search criteria: field and then click the Find button.
