PEER welcomes submissions of basic and applied research, the results of which can be demonstrated to enhance the teaching or learning of economics. Accepted papers are expected to offer new insights or to be pedagogically useful, allowing readers to make links between economic issues and their applications in the classroom. The journal may also publish shorter papers which report significant new approaches or empirical results, or are short comments on subjects which have appeared in previous issues of the journal. Links to exhibit electronic media (spreadsheets, data, statistical results, etc.) central to the exposition of the paper will be accepted. Space will be made available on PEER ' s website to place such materials. Research hypotheses, teaching methodologies and pedagogy models must be well described with solid foundations and justification. Presentation and empirical support will be given close attention. Reviewers will pay particular attention to how contributions will assist economic educators.
All articles should be submitted to the editor. The author’s name and affiliation, mailing address, phone, and e-mail should be clearly listed on the cover sheet, but should not appear elsewhere in the paper. The cover sheet will be removed prior to review and all articles will be double-blind reviewed. If there are multiple authors designate one as the corresponding author. The work must be original and unpublished. We expect that manuscripts submitted for consideration will not be under review at any other journal.
The title but no author names or affiliations should appear on the first page of the manuscript. Include a one paragraph abstract at the beginning of the article. Submit your paper electronically in either WordPerfect or Microsoft Word format that is compatible with Windows 98, Windows NT or higher. Format with 12 point Times New Roman, left justified, double-spaced. Use a citation and organizational style consistent with Chicago Style. Save the file so all equations, figures and tables are embedded within the document. Email a copy of your paper as an attachment to email@example.com. To complete your submission, send the required $25 submission fee to PEER, Campus Stop 8053, Pocatello, ID 83209-8053. Checks should be made payable to PEER. Articles will not be forwarded for review until the submission fee is received.
Upon completion of the peer review process, the editor will notify the author that the paper has been accepted, that revisions are required, or that the paper has been rejected. If your paper is accepted you will receive further instructions about the necessary format for publication.
