Scholarship Information - New Transfer Students (U.S. Citizens and Legal Permanent Residents)
As an Idaho resident or domestic non-resident undergraduate (must be U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident) transfer student to Idaho State University, you will be considered for our 2-year Transfer Scholarship as long as you meet our February 15th (for fall entry) or November 1st (for spring entry) application deadline and have a minimum 3.5 cumulative college GPA and 24 (minimum) to 100 (maximum) post high school non-AP credits approved and on record at ISU at the time of scholarship deadline. Students with less than 24 or greater than 100 post high school non-AP transfer credits or less than a 3.5 GPA will not be considered for this scholarship. We must have your completed application for ISU admission and college transcript(s) submitted by the appropriate deadline. Your application for admission serves as your scholarship application. Visit: ISU Admissions Office. There are additional scholarships for incoming transfer students that require a separate application or have additional requirements to apply. Please see BOSS for more information.
Some scholarship awarding is based on demonstrated financial need. To be considered for any need-based scholarships, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Priority processing of financial aid (FAFSA) applications begins on March 1st each year. Some types of financial aid are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, it's a good idea to submit your FAFSA by the priority processing deadline. The FAFSA is available online at http://www.fafsa.gov. If you need assistance with the FAFSA, please contact the ISU Financial Aid Office at (208) 282-2756.
