Click on this icon to take you directly to Moodle, ISU’s Learning Management System. If you are signed up for courses which are using Moodle (not all of them are!), those courses will be listed on your main Moodle page. If you have a class which is using Moodle but that class does not appear on your main page, be sure to let your instructor know.
Click on this icon to take you to the sign-on page for your Gmail account, provided by GoogleApps at ISU. You’ll log in using the same Username and Password you use to access BengalWeb. You are given a Gmail account when you enroll at ISU, and ISU sends all its communication to you through that email account. Be sure to check it often—or forward it to the email account you DO check often. Your Gmail account is yours for life and comes with Google’s great spam blocking technology, 7 GB of storage space, and Google’s powerful search engine built right into your mail.
This icon links you to the sign-on page for your Google Calendar, one of the great applications available to you through Google Apps at ISU. Log in using the same Username and Password you use to access BengalWeb. This easy to use calendaring tool allows you to set up multiple calendars, share and sync events with others, invite others to attend your events, and use Google’s search power to search through your calendars. And it’s all free.
Click on this icon to access the BengalWeb Groups tool. This tool enables various groups on campus to set up small websites where they can post information, events, news, documents, links, and upcoming deadlines for others who might be interested in that information. Some of the groups are private and restrict access, while others are more open. Some have an academic focus and others are social or recreational. For complete instructions on joining groups as well as starting your own group, look under our BengalWeb Groups heading in the User’s Guide. You’ll find complete instructions there.
This link takes you to the ISU Directory, the current listing of directory type information for all ISU students, faculty, staff, departments, programs, and areas—on all 4 campuses! Just type in the name you’re looking for and click “Find.” It will also allow you to search by email, telephone number, or department.
Click here to go directly to a map of the ISU campus (both Pocatello and Idaho Falls), with links to the pdf versions of those maps. You will also find instructions for those driving to campus for the first time, as well as a Parking information link. And finally, there is a handy Interactive Campus Map that allows you to virtually tour our lovely campus.
Click on this link when you’re done in BengalWeb. Really—it’s important. If you don’t logout, someone else can come along and access your entire ISU life, including signing you up for Underwater Ballet 101 or depositing your financial aid change check in their account. Log out.
