Instructions for Completing an Undergraduate Catalog Change Proposal

Infrastructure Impacts

Infrastructure Support Service Impact Instructions:

The Proposal Originator (PO) must complete all impact section questionnaires and email the link to the Google Doc proposal to all infrastructure support services listed below.

Response statements from each infrastructure support service and any actions taken as a result of that response must be included in the proposal prior to submission.

All impacts must be resolved and/or addressed before submission to UCC. Please document all impact responses and your replies at the end of he appropriate impact section.

Please complete the questionnaires as part of the proposal and email the link to the completed Google Doc proposal to each of the following email addresses:

  • University Library: send to Sandra Shropshire (libmpact@isu.edu) -- PO, please complete the University Library Questionnaire.
  • Information Technology Services: send to Randy Gaines (gainrand@isu.edu) -- PO, please complete the Information Technology Services Questionnaire.
  • Advising: send to JoAnn Hertz (hertjoan@isu.edu), Corey Zink (zinkcore@isu.edu), and Jamie Webster (websjami@isu.edu) -- no questionnaire required..
  • Student Information Systems: send to the Registrar's Office (reginfo@isu.edu) -- no questionnaire required.
  • General Education: send to both Sandra Shropshire (shrosand@isu.edu) and to the administrative assistant (gercmail@isu.edu). PO, please complete the GERC Questionnaire.
Other Department Impact Instructions:

The PO must email the link to the Google Doc proposal to all impacted departments and/or programs. A department is considered "impacted" if any changes in curriculum use courses offered by other departments, or if the changed courses are used by other departments in their program(s) of study.

Response statements from each impacted department/program and any actions taken as a result of that response must be included in the proposal prior to submission.

All impacts must be resolved and/or addressed before submission to UCC. Please document all impact responses and your replies at the end of the appropriate impact section.

Please complete a search of the PDF of the catalog to find all impacted departments. The PDF may be downloaded by:

  • going to coursecat.isu.edu
  • click on "Print Options"
  • click on "Download a PDF" of the most current Undergraduate Catalog

Notify your UCC representative once you have entered all impact responses that the proposal is almost ready for submission. The UCC representative will verify the proposal is complete, identified concerns are adequately addressed, and the proposed changes do not conflict with other proposals in the works.

Send the link to the Google Doc proposal to the appropriate department chair/program director and college dean (or designee) for their review, but collect all original signatures on a printed paper copy of the first page.

Proposals are submitted by the UCC representative as a link to the completed Google Doc in an email to the UCC's administrative assistant (uccmail@isu.edu) along with either a scanned .PDF or paper copy of the completed original signature page ONLY. Do not include signatures in the Google Doc proposal. The subject line of the email should include "UCC proposal from [Dept] for..." with a brief description of the proposal.
